The course "Digital Education Tools for Teachers: Web 2.0" is designed to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills to effectively integrate Web 2.0 tools into their teaching practices. Web 2.0 refers to a set of interactive online technologies that promote collaboration, communication, and user-generated content. This course will explore a variety of Web 2.0 tools that can enhance the learning experience, engage students, and foster creativity in the classroom.


Throughout the course, teachers will gain hands-on experience with popular Web 2.0 tools such as classroom management tools, online collaboration tools, and multimedia creation tools. They will learn how to incorporate these tools into lesson planning, instructional strategies, and assessment methods. The course will also cover topics such as digital citizenship, online safety, and ethical considerations when using Web 2.0 tools in an educational setting.


Over the course of five days, participants will engage in hands-on activities and practical approaches to learning. They will have the opportunity to actively use Web 2.0 tools, experiment with different teaching strategies, and collaborate with their peers to create engaging educational content. To ensure a smooth running of the class, participants are required to bring their own devices (e.g., laptops, tablets) Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Upon completion of the course, participants can expect to achieve the following learning outcomes:


  1. Familiarity with Web 2.0 tools: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the various Web 2.0 tools available for educational purposes, including blogs, wikis, social media platforms, and multimedia creation tools.

  2. Integration of Web 2.0 tools in teaching: Develop the skills to integrate Web 2.0 tools effectively into lesson planning, curriculum development, and instructional strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

  3. Collaboration and communication: Explore ways to leverage Web 2.0 tools to promote collaboration and communication among students, both within the classroom and with peers from around the world.

  4. Creativity and multimedia creation: Learn techniques for using Web 2.0 tools to foster student creativity and enable them to create multimedia-rich content, such as videos, podcasts, and interactive presentations.

  5. Digital citizenship and online safety: Understand the importance of teaching digital citizenship skills and online safety practices to students when using Web 2.0 tools, and gain strategies to address these topics effectively.

  6. Assessment and feedback: Discover methods for using Web 2.0 tools to assess student learning, provide timely feedback, and track progress effectively.

  7. Ethical considerations: Develop an awareness of ethical considerations when using Web 2.0 tools, including issues related to privacy, copyright, and responsible online behavior, and learn how to guide students in making ethical decisions online.

  8.  Improve foreign language and communication skills through meeting with colleagues from different countries.

The 5-day course fee per participant is set at 400€, which provides comprehensive coverage for all aspects of the program. This fee includes the following:
