The "Digital Tools for Innovative Teaching" course is designed to empower educators with the knowledge and skills to leverage digital tools and pedagogical approaches for transformative teaching practices. In today's rapidly evolving educational landscape, incorporating technology into teaching has become essential for engaging students and enhancing their learning experiences.

 

This course is specifically tailored to educators in various disciplines who are interested in exploring innovative ways to integrate digital tools and pedagogies into their teaching practices. The focus of the course is on leveraging digital technologies to create dynamic and interactive learning environments that foster student creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Throughout the course, participants will be introduced to a wide range of digital tools, educational platforms, and pedagogical strategies that can be effectively utilized across different subject areas. They will have the opportunity to explore topics such as integrated learning environments, educational web journals, podcast production, gamification activities, and online rubric-based evaluation.

 

Through hands-on workshops, collaborative activities, and discussions, participants will gain practical experience in using these digital tools and develop strategies for effectively integrating them into their teaching practice. They will learn how to design engaging learning activities, create interactive digital content, facilitate online discussions, and provide meaningful feedback to students using digital platforms. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to connect with peers, share best practices, and reflect on their own teaching approaches in light of the new possibilities offered by digital pedagogies. By the end of the course, educators will be equipped with the necessary skills and confidence to embrace digital pedagogies and create innovative learning experiences that inspire and motivate their students.

Day 2: Educational Web Journals and Ebooks

Techniques for curating and organizing content in educational web journals

Practical Activity: Design and develop an interactive ebook using tools

 

Day 3: Web Radio and Podcast Production

 

Introduction to web radio and podcasting in education

Techniques for recording and editing audio content

Practical Activity: Plan and record a podcast episode on a chosen humanities topic

Day 4: Gamification Activities in Teaching

Day 5: Online Rubric-based Evaluation

 

Importance and benefits of rubric-based evaluation

Note: The course program can be adjusted and customized based on the specific needs and interests of the participants. Additional activities and discussions should be incorporated to encourage collaboration, reflection, and sharing of best practices throughout the course.

The 5-day course fee per participant is set at 400€, which provides comprehensive coverage for all aspects of the program. This fee includes the following:
