The Erasmus+ Teacher Training course on Entrepreneurship Education: Fostering Creativity and Innovation with Design Thinking is a comprehensive 5-day program designed to empower educators with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to integrate entrepreneurship education into their teaching practices. This course goes beyond traditional teaching methods by focusing on fostering creativity, innovation, and problem-solving through the application of design thinking principles.

Throughout the course, participants will delve into the theoretical foundations of entrepreneurship education, exploring its significance in developing students' entrepreneurial mindset and skills. They will gain a deep understanding of the principles and benefits of design thinking as a powerful approach to tackle complex challenges and foster creative solutions.

Engaging in practical activities, collaborative discussions, and hands-on exercises, participants will have the opportunity to develop their understanding of entrepreneurship education and design thinking. The course also emphasizes the integration of entrepreneurship education across different subject areas and provides participants with access to relevant teaching resources.

 

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

 

  1. Understand the concept of entrepreneurship education and its significance in fostering creativity and innovation.
  2. Apply design thinking principles to promote a problem-solving mindset among students.
  3. Integrate entrepreneurship education into their existing curriculum across various subject areas.
  4. Design and develop lesson plans and activities that incorporate entrepreneurship education and design thinking.
  5. Access and utilize relevant teaching resources and tools for entrepreneurship education.
  6. Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and innovative teaching methods.
  7. Foster an entrepreneurial mindset and skills among students, such as critical thinking, communication, and teamwork.
  8. Evaluate the impact of entrepreneurship education and design thinking on student engagement and learning outcomes.
  9. Develop strategies to support and guide student-led entrepreneurial projects.
  10. Reflect on their own teaching practices and continuously improve their approach to entrepreneurship education.

• Day 1 - Monday  

Welcoming and Introduction of the course programme

Definition of basic concepts related with Creativity, Entrepreneurship and Innovation 

How to reveal students’ creative side and motivate them to find their potential  

 

• Day 2 - Tuesday  

Teaching about entrepreneurship in a classroom  

How to teach entrepreneurship through a multi-disciplinary approach 

How could the subjects of language, arts, music, etc., accommodate the topic of entrepreneurship and innovation in education  

Common mistakes on teaching about entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation 

How to encourage students to work in teams when developing an innovative project  

 

• Day 3 - Wednesday  

Creativity in the classroom; essential tools and techniques to unleash students’ potential  

The impact of game based learning and gamification on entrepreneurship education 

Best examples of entrepreneurship and creativity education around the globe 

Digital tools and applications that can boost students’ imagination 

What are the appropriate technological tools and elements that can be used in entrepreneurship education  

Is project based learning useful to teach entrepreneurship? 

 

• Day 4 - Thursday  

Develop ideas on ways to incorporate the Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation in a lesson plan  

Putting things into practice in your classroom; tips and guideline about how to develop your project idea  

Participants will work on groups or individually to create a project on teaching on entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation by applying different methodologies 

Discussion and share of ideas  

 

• Day 5 - Friday  

Presentation of group/individual projects  

Final Remarks  

Exchange of ideas for future collaborations at European level  

Certification of Attendance

The 5-day course fee per participant is set at 400€, which provides comprehensive coverage for all aspects of the program. This fee includes the following:
