Step 1 / 3

Pre Register

This Erasmus+ KA1 Teacher training course aims to provide teachers with a hands-on experience working with Raspberry Pi hardware and software. Participants will gain a deep understanding of the Raspberry Pi ecosystem, including its components and applications, and learn how to set up and operate Raspberry Pi effectively. Through practical exercises and projects, teachers will develop proficiency in Python programming specifically tailored for Raspberry Pi. This will include topics such as interacting with GPIO pins, handling sensors and electronic components, and writing code for various real-world applications.

One of the primary goals of this course is to equip teachers with the skills needed to seamlessly integrate Raspberry Pi into their classroom activities. Participants will explore project-based learning approaches that can be adapted to various subjects, fostering engagement and creativity among students while achieving educational objectives. The course will encourage teachers to embrace project-based learning as a powerful educational strategy. Participants will have the opportunity to work on collaborative coding projects and apply their newfound knowledge in real-world scenarios, enabling them to guide their students effectively. By the end of this comprehensive 5-day training course, teachers will not only be well-versed in Raspberry Pi and Python programming but will also be prepared to inspire their students with creative, technology-driven classroom experiences.

1. Raspberry Pi Basics: By the end of the workshop, you will have a good understanding of what Raspberry Pi is, what its parts are, and how to set it up. You'll feel confident using it.

2. Python Skills: You'll learn the basics of Python, a computer language. You'll be able to write simple programs and use them with Raspberry Pi to create fun projects.

3. Teaching with Raspberry Pi: You will know how to use Raspberry Pi in your teaching. You'll have ideas on how to make lessons more exciting and hands-on for your students.

4. Hands-on Projects: You'll complete hands-on projects using Raspberry Pi. You'll be able to build things like blinking lights or temperature sensors. It's a great way to learn by doing.

5. Cross-Disciplinary Use: You'll discover how to use Raspberry Pi in different subjects like science or art. This means you can make learning interesting and connect it to real-life applications.

Lessons will take place from Monday to Friday in the morning.
