Digital Game Based Learning and Gamification, both of them are educational  approaches to motivate students to learn, either through using video game design and/ or applying game elements in learning environments. Even though these approaches differs from each other, they both share the same goal which is to maximise students’  engagement in classroom and to inspire them to continue learning.  


In this course, participants will learn the basic principals of game based learning and  gamification in a classroom environment. More specifically, this course focuses on  these approaches on a digital context. The aim is to provide participant tools to establish the connection between game elements, mechanics, components and dynamics, of digital game based learning and gamification.  


This is a training that equips the participants with digital examples on how games and gamification can be used in education while engaging in activities related to the  appropriate application of game based learning and gamification design. While the participants learn the concept of gamification and the elements surrounding it, they will have an opportunity to apply what they have learned through various activities.

By completing this course, participants will;  


  1. Gain a comprehensive understanding of Digital Game-Based Learning (DGBL) and gamification principles.
  2. Acquire the skills to design effective educational games with clear learning objectives.
  3. Explore the applications of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) in educational settings.
  4. Develop practical knowledge in creating AR and VR content for classroom use.
  5. Identify strategies for integrating DGBL, gamification, AR, and VR into their teaching practices.
  6. Assess the benefits, challenges, and best practices associated with implementing DGBL, gamification, AR, and VR in education.
  7. Develop an implementation plan for incorporating DGBL, gamification, AR, and VR into their specific educational contexts.

The 5-day course fee per participant is set at 400€, which provides comprehensive coverage for all aspects of the program. This fee includes the following:
