This course is designed for teachers who want to learn innovative methods and strategies for teaching and engaging gifted students. The course will focus on understanding the unique characteristics and needs of gifted students and how to design and implement effective instructional practices to meet those needs.

 

Throughout the course, participants will explore topics such as differentiated instruction, critical thinking and problem-solving, creativity and innovation, and social and emotional needs of gifted students. They will examine various strategies and techniques for designing and implementing engaging and effective learning experiences for gifted students, such as project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and technology-enhanced instruction. In addition, the course delves into the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to personalise learning experiences and provide tailored challenges. Participants will gain practical insights into how AI tools can enhance the educational journey of gifted learners, making it more adaptive and responsive to individual needs.

 

The course will be highly interactive and will include a combination of lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with other educators and share their experiences and perspectives. By the end of the course, participants will have gained a deeper understanding of giftedness, a range of innovative methods and strategies for engaging gifted students, and the confidence and skills to implement those strategies in their own classrooms.

  2. Analyze and evaluate various innovative methods and strategies for teaching and engaging gifted students, such as differentiated instruction, critical thinking and problem-solving, creativity and innovation, and social and emotional support.
  3. Design and implement effective instructional practices and activities to meet the unique needs of gifted students.
  4. Utilize technology and digital tools to support and enhance instruction for gifted students.
  5. Foster a growth mindset and develop resiliency in gifted students by implementing social and emotional learning strategies.
  6. Understand the importance of collaborative learning environments and develop strategies for facilitating collaborative learning among gifted students.
  7. Identify and apply appropriate assessment strategies to measure student learning and growth.
  8. Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with innovative practices in gifted education.
  9. Advocate for the needs of gifted students and communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Day 5: Social and Emotional Needs of Gifted Students

The 5-day course fee per participant is set at 400€, which provides comprehensive coverage for all aspects of the program. This fee includes the following:
