Step 1 / 3

Pre Register

Good teaching goes beyond grades and lesson plans. Students learn better when they feel safe, understood, and valued. This course gives teachers simple, practical tools to support students' emotions and social skills in everyday classroom life - from how they handle stress to how they treat each other. Small shifts in how you teach can make a big difference in how students show up and engage.

You'll learn how to handle conflict, build trust with your students, and create a classroom where everyone feels they belong. The course also looks at your well-being as a teacher - because you can't pour from an empty cup. By the end, you'll have clear, ready-to-use strategies that make your classroom a calmer, kinder, and more productive place for both you and your students.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply SEL in the Classroom — Use core SEL strategies to support students' emotional growth and create a positive space where learning can thrive.
  2. Communicate with Empathy — Interact with students, colleagues, and parents in a clearer, more understanding, and more respectful way.
  3. Handle Conflict Effectively — Guide students through disagreements in a calm and fair way, helping them build better relationships with each other.
  4. Take Care of Themselves — Recognise when stress is building up and use simple, practical habits to protect their own emotional health.
  5. Build Trust with Students — Develop genuine connections with students so they feel safe, heard, and supported in the classroom.
  6. Help Students Grow Beyond Academics — Give students basic life skills — like resilience, empathy, and self-awareness — that will serve them well inside and outside school.

Lessons will take place from Monday to Friday in the morning hours.
