The "Integrating ICT into the Classroom" course is designed to empower educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively incorporate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools and resources into their teaching practices. This course aims to equip teachers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and strategies to incorporate various ICT tools and resources into their teaching methods, thereby fostering student engagement, collaboration, critical thinking, and digital literacy.

 

Throughout this five-day course, participants will engage in a combination of theoretical sessions, hands-on workshops, collaborative activities, and reflective discussions. The course will cover a wide range of topics, including the fundamental principles of integrating ICT into teaching, selecting appropriate digital tools and resources, designing engaging and interactive lessons, assessing and evaluating ICT-based learning activities, and addressing potential challenges and concerns that may arise when integrating ICT.

 

Important: To fully participate in the course, all participants are kindly requested to bring their personal laptops. These laptops will be essential for hands-on activities, accessing online resources, and exploring various ICT tools and applications throughout the training sessions.

 

By the end of the "Integrating ICT into the Classroom" course, participants will be able to:

 

  1. Understand the theoretical foundations and research-based best practices for integrating ICT into teaching and learning.
  2. Identify and evaluate a variety of ICT tools, applications, and resources suitable for different subject areas and educational levels.
  3. Design and develop ICT-rich lesson plans and activities that align with curriculum goals and enhance student learning outcomes.
  4. Implement effective strategies for managing and organizing ICT resources in the classroom, including considerations for accessibility and digital citizenship.
  5. Foster student collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through the integration of ICT tools and digital media.
  6. Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress and achievement in ICT-enhanced learning environments.
  7. Address potential challenges and ethical issues related to the use of ICT in the classroom, such as privacy, security, and digital well-being.
  8. Reflect on personal teaching practices and pedagogical approaches, and develop a plan for ongoing professional development in ICT integration.
  9. Improve foreign language and communication skills through meeting with colleagues from different countries

Strategies for promoting collaboration and student engagement with ICT

 

Day 3 - Wednesday  

 

Introduction to online learning platforms and virtual classrooms

Hands-on workshop: Setting up and managing an online learning environment

Designing interactive assignments and assessments using digital tools

Addressing accessibility and inclusivity considerations in ICT integration

 

Day 4 - Thursday  

 

Introduction to coding and computational thinking

Hands-on workshop: Coding activities and robot programming

Integrating computational thinking skills across the curriculum

Assessing and evaluating ICT-enhanced learning outcomes

 

Day 5 - Friday  

 

Ethical considerations and digital citizenship in ICT use

Addressing online safety, privacy, and responsible internet use

Designing a personal action plan for ICT integration

Reflection and sharing of course experiences

Final project presentations and feedback

The 5-day course fee per participant is set at 400€, which provides comprehensive coverage for all aspects of the program. This fee includes the following:
